COVID-19: Time to Talk service guide (Devon)

Scope

This information provides contact details for patients across Devon during the Covid-19 pandemic that have a long-term health condition or a disability and want someone to talk to.

Due to the government guidelines regarding the coronavirus, all our staff, trustees and volunteers are working from home. We are still here providing support and advice to our service users and continuing to work with our partners and sites.

We are still running our Time to Talk telephone and webcam listening services.

  • Our phone line and webcam are open Tuesday to Thursday 10am – 4pm.

People can call us for a chat or to get information and advice.

People can contact us directly (contact details below / link to the poster) or they can be referred into the service (link to the referral form). We are here for people who need or want someone to talk to. We will respond to people as swiftly as we can.

Our focus is on people with disabilities or long-term health conditions, but if you want to refer someone else who is struggling and needs someone to talk to, then please signpost or refer them to us as we are happy to help.

Our Deaf services, for people who are British Sign Language users, are still operational but delivered in a slightly different way (see below).

Our Life Coach is providing support to people remotely (via internet) so we can refer people through to her.

Our Deaf Counsellor is providing counselling services to Deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL) via webcam only.

We have our Deaf Chat and Share groups running (via webcam) and we will be setting up our general Chat and Share sessions shortly.

Our services cover Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.
