This information provides guidance on the management of Care of the Elderly patients across North Devon during the COVID-19 pandemic. The information is based on national (British Geriatric Society) guidance.
Clinical Nurse Specialist for Parkinson's can be contacted for advice 01271 322361 or 01271 322577 bleep 420 .
Please contact the locality Health and Social Care teams. Telephone and video assessment is being offered in preference to face to face contact where possible
Clinical Nurse Specialist or senior team member for Stroke can be contacted for advice 01271 322577 bleep 032 8am-7pm daily including weekends.
Patients can be referred through the transient ischaemic attack (TIA) clinic which can offer telephone or video assessment or face to face if required.
Referrals to TIA clinic will be triaged and offered either face to face, telephone or video consultations as appropriate.
The Rapid Intervention Centre Single Point of Access takes referrals for patients who have an urgent care need telephone: 01392 381208 7am - 10.30pm
