The Devon Formulary promotes safe, effective, and economic prescribing across primary and secondary care in Devon.
It provides clinical guidance on the management of a wide variety of common conditions, including locally recommended drug choices presented in a recognisable traffic light classification.
The Devon Formulary is not a restrictive list, but a recommendation drawn up after widespread consultation with local prescribers and in collaboration with NHS Devon ICB, Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and North Devon District Hospital), Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, Devon Partnership NHS Trust, and Livewell Southwest.
