Tranexamic acid
- Tablets 500mg (£4.95 = 60 tablets)
- Injection 500mg in 5ml
Indications
- Local fibrinolysis
- Menorrhagia
- Hereditary angioedema
Dose (both mouth)
- Local fibrinolysis
- 1–1.5g (or 15–25mg/kg) 2–3 times daily
- Menorrhagia (initiated when menstruation has started)
- 1g 3 times daily for up to 4 days; maximum 4g daily
- Hereditary angioedema
- 1–1.5g 2–3 times daily
