  • Dispersible tablets sugar free 100mg (£4.91 = 8 dispersible tablets)

Notes

  1. Dispersible tablets are considerably more expensive than capsules and should be reserved for use only in individuals who are unable to swallow capsules
Lymecycline
  • Capsules 408mg (£4.09 = 28 capsules)

Oxytetracycline
  • Tablets 250mg (£1.21 = 28 tablets)

Indications

Demeclocycline hydrochloride
  • Capsules 150mg (£238.41 = 28 capsules)

Notes

  1. Demeclocycline is not used for the treatment of infection, but is used in the management of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone.
Minocycline

Following national guidance from NHS England, minocycline is not recommended for use for the treatment of acne due to an increased risk of adverse effects such as drug induced lupus, skin pigmentation and hepatitis. Click here for more information. Prescribers should not initiate minocycline for acne for any new patient.
