NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group and Providers are looking at developing the most effective way of providing GPs with clinical advice for non-urgent cases.
Advice and Guidance (A&G) - A two-way communication channel in the e-Referral Service (e-RS) directly linking the GP team and Specialist team.
A&G allows the GP to authorise the Consultant to directly convert the A&G request to a referral if clinically indicated. Please authorise conversion to referral to streamline the patient pathway, and ensure the patient is content with the selected provider.
